Carbidopa tablets

Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor and is not easy to enter the central nervous system. It only inhibits the conversion of peripheral levodopa into dopamine, increasing the levodopa content in the circulation, and thus the amount of levodopa entering the central nervous system. Levodopa is converted into dopamine by dopamine decarboxylase in the brain and exerts its pharmacological effects, improving the symptoms of parkinsonism.

Carbidopa

This product is off-white tablets.

Used in combination with levodopa for Parkinson's disease and parkinson's syndrome.

Take 10 mg orally once, 3 to 4 times a day. Gradually increase the daily dose every 1 to 2 days, and the maximum daily dose can reach 100 mg.

Common adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, postural hypotension, abnormal involuntary movements of the face, tongue, upper limbs and upper body, dysuria, and depression. Rare adverse reactions include hypertension and arrhythmia.
