Etofenamate cream

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug for external use on the skin, and is a derivative of anthranilic acid. It mainly acts on various stages of the inflammatory process. In addition to inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, it also inhibits the release of histamine, has a neutralizing effect on bradykinin and 5-hydroxytryptamine, and inhibits complement activity and the release of hyaluronidase. Toxicological effects: In chronic toxicity studies, rats (7.0, 27.0, 100.0 mg/kg) and monkeys (7.0, 26.0, 100.0 mg/kg) were given daily oral administration of etofenamate (for 1 year). Its ineffective dose (27.0 mg/kg for rats and 26.0 mg/kg for monkeys) is much higher than the daily therapeutic dose for humans. Further studies have shown that this drug has no evidence of teratogenic, mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. Reproductive toxicity: Etofenamate cream can pass the placental barrier. After lactating women took etofenamate orally, etofenamate was not detected in breast milk, but its main metabolite flufenamic acid was detected. However, the concentrations are far below the therapeutic dose and therefore have no important practical significance.

The main ingredient of this product is etofenamate.

This product is a white or milky white ointment.

Depending on the size of the painful area, apply 1-2g (5-10cm) each time, 3-4 times a day, apply to the painful area and massage gently, or follow the doctor's advice.

1. In rare cases, skin redness may occur. 2. In rare cases, skin allergic reactions may occur (e.g., severe itching, rash, erythema, swelling, blisters, etc.). The above symptoms usually subside quickly after discontinuation of the drug.

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to etofenamate, flufenamic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
