Function and Efficacy

This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and a derivative of anthranilic acid. It can inhibit cyclooxygenase, reduce the synthesis of prostaglandins, and has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Appearance

This product is a green tablet.

Indication

It is used to treat joint swelling and pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and other causes of arthritis, and can relieve mild to moderate pain caused by other diseases.

Usage and Dosage

Take orally 0.2-0.4g at a time, 3 times a day.

Adverse Reactions

Common symptoms include dizziness, headache, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Some patients may experience rash and urethral pain. They may take sodium bicarbonate at the same time to reduce irritation. Gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding may also occur, and occasionally cause hemolytic anemia, bone marrow suppression, and transient liver and kidney dysfunction.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, inflammatory bowel disease, or peptic ulcer.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not clear yet. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product easily passes through the placenta and is toxic to fetal mice, causing mild bone deformities and delayed ossification, so pregnant women should not take it. It is unknown whether this product is excreted from breast milk, but it should not be used by lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly people have decreased renal function, which will increase toxicity, so the dose should be reduced.

Drug Interactions

(1) This product can enhance the effects of anticoagulants and thrombolytics. When used together, the coagulation function should be monitored and the dosage should be adjusted if necessary, but it has little effect on platelet aggregation. (2) Drinking alcohol while using this product can increase gastrointestinal reactions and the risk of ulcers. (3) When this product is used together with furosemide, the latter's sodium excretion and antihypertensive effects are weakened. (4) When this product is used together with verapamil and nifedipine, the blood concentration of this product increases. (5) This product can increase the blood concentration of digoxin. When used together, it is necessary to pay attention to adjusting the dose of digoxin. (6) This product can enhance the effect of antidiabetic drugs (tolbutamide). (7) Probenecid can reduce the excretion of this product, increase its blood concentration, and thus increase its toxicity. Therefore, it is advisable to reduce the dose of this product when used together. (8) This product can reduce the excretion of methotrexate and increase its blood concentration, even to toxic levels. Therefore, this product should not be used together with medium or large doses of methotrexate. (9) When this product is used together with antihypertensive drugs, it may affect the antihypertensive effect of the latter.
