Sertaconazole nitrate cream

Sertaconazole nitrate ointment is a synthetic imidazole broad-spectrum antifungal drug that has inhibitory and killing effects on skin fungi, yeasts, Candida, and Aspergillus, and has a strong antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria.

The main ingredient of this product is sertaconazole nitrate, and its chemical name is: ()-1-[2-(7-chlorobenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl)methoxy-2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)ethyl]-1H-imidazole nitrate.

This product is a white or off-white ointment with an emulsion base.

Skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, Candida, and Aspergillus, such as tinea corporis and tinea pedis.

Apply an appropriate amount of ointment to the affected skin twice a day. It should generally be used continuously for 28 days.

A very small number of patients may experience skin redness, itching, and burning sensations after taking the drug, which will disappear on their own after stopping the drug. If adverse reactions occur, the doctor should be informed.

Patients who are allergic to sertaconazole nitrate or any of its ingredients are contraindicated.
