Corynebacterium brevis preparation

Brevibacterium has immunomodulatory and tumor-suppressing activities.

Main ingredients: Inactivated short rod-shaped bacteria.

It is mainly used for cancerous pleural effusion, combined with surgery to treat early and mid-stage lung cancer. It can be used in combination with conventional treatment methods to treat breast cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer, advanced lung cancer, melanoma, and surface metastatic lesions of cancer. This preparation also has a certain effect on psoriasis, aplastic anemia, leukoplakia vulvae, infectious asthma, etc.

Generally, it is injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Intracavitary injection is appropriately diluted with sodium chloride injection. The following doses are used for multiple injections in the tumor or around the tumor to reduce local reactions. The initial injection is 0.5-1.0 ml, and then it can be increased by 0.5 ml each time as appropriate, up to 2 ml. Intramuscular, intracavitary and multi-point injections can be increased as appropriate, up to 4.0 ml (subcutaneous should not exceed 2.0 ml). Leukoplakia vulvae can be applied to the affected area once a day, 1.0-2.0 ml each time; if the symptoms are alleviated, the medication interval can be extended as needed.

There is often swelling, pain, and induration at the injection site, which lasts for about two weeks, and sometimes a transient fever occurs. Intrathoracic injection may cause a transient reaction and fever, which can be treated symptomatically.

It is contraindicated for patients with fever above 38℃, severe cardiovascular disease, and abnormal liver and kidney function.
