Sulfamethoxazole
Indication
It can be used to fight purulent tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, dysentery, urinary tract infections, and many other infectious diseases.
Precautions
1. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to sulfonamides. 2. Since this product blocks the metabolism of folic acid and aggravates the folate deficiency in patients with megaloblastic anemia, it is contraindicated for patients with this disease. 3. It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women. 4. It is contraindicated for infants less than 2 months old. 5. It is contraindicated for those with severe liver and kidney damage.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not for use in infants under 2 months old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use in pregnant and lactating women.
