Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: It is generally not recommended. If it must be used for medical reasons, please refer to [Usage and Dosage] Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: It is forbidden for pregnant women. It has not been confirmed whether tropisetron hydrochloride is secreted into human milk, so patients taking the drug should not breastfeed. Precautions for the elderly: No dosage adjustment is required for the elderly.
Drug Interactions
1. If tropisetron hydrochloride is used simultaneously with rifampicin or other liver enzyme inducing drugs (such as phenobarbital), the plasma concentration of tropisetron hydrochloride may be reduced. Therefore, patients with normal metabolism need to increase the dose (patients with poor metabolism do not need to increase the dose). 2. The effect of cytochrome P450 enzyme inhibitors such as cimetidine on the plasma concentration of tropisetron hydrochloride can be ignored. Under normal use, there is no need to adjust the dose.
