Cefdizime Sodium for Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic for injection. It exerts a bactericidal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. This product is mainly effective against a variety of G and G- bacteria and anaerobic bacteria. In vitro tests have shown that this product is sensitive to the following pathogens: such as Staphylococcus aureus (excluding methicillin-resistant strains), Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae (including strains producing β-lactamase), Neisseria meningitidis, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella, Citrobacter, Klebsiella, Proteus vulgaris, Providencia, Morganella morganii, Haemophilus influenzae, Corynebacterium. This product is stable to β-lactamase produced by most bacteria. This product is ineffective against Bacteroides, Acinetobacter, Enterococcus faecalis, Listeria, Mycoplasma, and Chlamydia.

Appearance

Indication
Used for infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as upper and lower urinary tract infections, lower respiratory tract infections, gonorrhea, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Usage: intravenous injection, intravenous drip, and intramuscular injection. Intravenous injection: 1.0g of Cefdizime Sodium for Injection is dissolved in 4ml of water for injection, or 2.0g of Cefdizime Sodium for Injection is dissolved in 10ml of water for injection, and injected within 3 to 5 minutes. Intravenous drip: 1.0g or 2.0g of Cefdizime Sodium for Injection is dissolved in 40ml of water for injection, normal saline or Ringer's solution, and infused within 20 to 30 minutes. Intramuscular injection: 1.0g of Cefdizime Sodium for Injection is dissolved in 4ml of water for injection, or 2.0g of Cefdizime Sodium for Injection is dissolved in 10ml of water for injection, and injected deep into the gluteal muscle; to prevent pain, this product can be dissolved in 1% lidocaine solution and injected (at this time, injection into the blood vessel must be avoided).
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions: Allergic skin reactions (urticaria), drug fever, and severe acute allergic reactions that may be life-threatening may occur. Effects on the gastrointestinal tract: Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. During treatment and in the first few weeks after treatment, if severe and persistent diarrhea occurs, the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis should be considered. Effects on liver function: Increased serum liver enzymes (AST, ALT, γ-GT, ALP, LDH) and bilirubin. Changes in blood components: Decreased platelet counts, increased eosinophil counts, and rarely hemolytic anemia may occur. Blood counts should be monitored when the course of treatment exceeds 10 days. Kidneys: In rare cases, a temporary increase in serum creatinine and urea nitrogen may be seen. Local reactions: Inflammatory reactions and pain may occur at the injection site.
Precautions
It is contraindicated in patients allergic to cephalosporins.
Drug Interactions
Probenecid can delay the excretion of this product. This product can enhance the toxic effects of potentially nephrotoxic drugs. If it is used simultaneously or sequentially with aminoglycosides, amphotericin B, cyclosporine, cisplatin, vancomycin, polymyxin B or colistin, renal function should be closely monitored.
Storage
Seal tightly and store in a cool, dark and dry place (avoid light and not exceed 20℃).
