Potassium Magnesium Aspartate Injection

Potassium magnesium aspartate is a mixture of potassium aspartate and magnesium salt, and is an electrolyte supplement. Magnesium and potassium are important cations in cells, and play an important role in a variety of enzyme reactions and muscle contraction processes. The ratio of potassium ion, calcium ion, and magnesium ion concentrations inside and outside cells affects myocardial contractility. Aspartic acid is a precursor of oxaloacetate in the body and plays an important role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle. At the same time, aspartic acid also participates in the ornithine cycle, promoting the metabolism of ammonia and carbon dioxide to produce urea, and reducing the content of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the blood. Aspartic acid has a strong affinity with cells and can be used as a carrier for potassium and magnesium ions to enter cells, allowing potassium ions to return to cells, promoting cell metabolism of cell depolarization, and maintaining their normal functions. Magnesium ions are indispensable substances for the production of glycogen and high-energy phosphates.

This product is a compound preparation. Each 1ml tube contains 45.2mg of anhydrous potassium aspartate (equivalent to 10.33mg of potassium ions) and 40mg of magnesium aspartate (equivalent to 3.37mg of magnesium ions).

This product is a colorless or light green clear liquid.

Electrolyte supplement. It can be used for hypokalemia, arrhythmias caused by digitalis poisoning (mainly ventricular arrhythmias), and adjuvant treatment of sequelae of myocarditis, congestive heart failure, and myocardial infarction.

Intravenous drip of 10-20 ml at a time, add to 250 ml or 500 ml of 5% glucose injection and drip slowly, once a day, or as directed by the doctor.

Too fast an infusion rate may cause hyperkalemia and hypermagnesemia, as well as nausea, vomiting, facial flushing, chest tightness, decreased blood pressure, and occasional vascular irritation pain. In rare cases, a slow heart rate may occur, which can be restored by slowing down the infusion rate or stopping the drug. 2. Large doses may cause diarrhea.

Hyperkalemia, acute and chronic renal failure, Addison's disease, Ш° atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock (blood pressure below 90 mmHg) are contraindicated.

1. This product can inhibit the absorption of tetracycline, iron salts and sodium fluoride. 2. This product may cause hyperkalemia when used in combination with potassium-sparing diuretics and/or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI).
