Isoproterenol Hydrochloride Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a β-receptor agonist, which has a strong stimulatory effect on both β1 and β2 receptors, and has almost no effect on α receptors. Main effects: It acts on the heart β1 receptors to enhance cardiac contractility, increase heart rate, accelerate conduction, increase cardiac output and myocardial oxygen consumption. It acts on the vascular smooth muscle β2 receptors to significantly dilate skeletal muscle blood vessels, and the kidneys, mesenteric blood vessels and coronary arteries also dilate to varying degrees, and the total vascular resistance is reduced. Its cardiovascular effects lead to increased systolic blood pressure, decreased diastolic blood pressure, and increased pulse pressure difference. It acts on the bronchial smooth muscle β2 receptors to relax bronchial smooth muscle. It promotes the decomposition of glycogen and fat and increases tissue oxygen consumption.

Appearance
This product is a colorless clear liquid.
Indication
(1) Treatment of cardiogenic or septic shock. (2) Treatment of complete atrioventricular block and cardiac arrest.
Usage and Dosage
1. For the treatment of cardiac arrest, inject 0.5~1mg into the cardiac cavity. 2. For third degree atrioventricular block, when the heart rate is less than 40 beats per minute, add 0.5~1mg of this product to 200~300ml of 5% glucose injection and drip slowly intravenously.
Adverse Reactions
Common adverse reactions include: dry mouth and throat, palpitations and restlessness; rare adverse reactions include: dizziness, vertigo, facial flushing, nausea, increased heart rate, tremor, sweating, fatigue, etc.
Precautions
It is contraindicated in patients with angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, hyperthyroidism and pheochromocytoma.

Drug Interactions
