         Cathay Industrial Biotech Limited is a Chinese-Foreign Joint Venture dedicated to the research and development of new materials and value-added products from renewable agricultural crops. Cathy Industrial Biotech Limited established its headquarters and R&D Center in Zhangjiang High-tech Park in Shanghai, its production base Cathay(Jinxiang) Biomaterial Co Limited is in Jining Chemical Industrial Development Zone in Shandong Province and its American marketing office in Ohio USA., the European marketing office in Hamburger,Germany.

I.     Shanghai Cathay Biotechnology R&D Center Co., Ltd

Our R&D center, with a total registered capital of USD23.53 million, owns 14 fully equipped lab fermenters, recovery equipment and biology as well as chemistry research facilities. The R&D center has been granted 2 “Chinese National Key fermentation Projects and Products” out of a total of 4, and transferred 6 bio-fermentation technologies to major biochemical companies inUSAandIndia. The R&D center also holds 25 bio-process technologies developed inChina’s national research laboratories.

II.     Cathay (Jinxiang) Biomaterial Co., Limited

Cathay(Jinxiang) Biomaterial Co., Limited is located in the Jinxiang Chemical Industrial Zone of Jining City, Shandong Province. The registered capital is 300 million RMB, which Shanghai Cathay Industrial Biotech Co Limited holds 100% share. The company covers an area of more than 150 hectares with a modern facility capable of producing dibasic acids with a carboxylic chain length from C11 to C18 through fermentation process. The annual output of dibasic acid can reach 40000T/yearly.

The great breakthrough of bio-processing for long chain dibasic acids was quoted in the National Science & Technology Ministry’s special report to the State Council as follows:

“The completion of the production line shows the leading position ofChina’s production of long chain dibasic acids through biotechnology. This is another great achievement inChina’s biochemical field after the successful biotech production of acrylic amides. The breakthrough in tetradecanedioic acid production technology will promote the development ofChina’s long chain dibasic acids industry, and promisingly, will drive the research and development of high performance polymer industry.”

III.     Shandong Cathay Power/Steam Cogeneration Co., Limited

Shandong Cathay Power/Steam Cogeneration Co., Limited is a subsidiary company of Cathay Biomaterial Co., Limited. With a total investment of 240 million RMB and 2×30 MW installed electricity capacity, the cogeneration plant will supply Shandong Cathay Biotechnology industry base with low cost electricity and stream.

IV Cathay (Wusu) Biomaterial Co., Limited

Cathay(Wusu) Biomaterial Co., Limited is located in the Wusu city, Xinjiang Province, this project started since April, 2016, and it is supposed to be finished in September, 2017. The project is to build 100,000Ton of biological based Polyamide annually, 50,000 Ton of  Pentamethylene diamine and 30,000Ton of Long chain dicarboxylic acid.
