Lamivudine, also known as 3-TC, is a nucleoside analogue and antiviral drug, which is a white or off-white crystalline powder, soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol, and has a competitive inhibitory effect on the synthesis and lengthening of viral DNA strands.
