Sodium TriMetaPhosphate

Sodium trimetaphosphate is a kind of inorganic compound, the chemical formula is Na3(PO3)3,White crystal or crystalline powder. Melting point 627.6℃. Density 2.476g/cm3. Soluble in water (2lg/lOOmL), the pH of 1% aqueous solution is 6.O. Crystals of hexahydrate salts can be formed by adding sodium chloride to an aqueous solution, soluble in water, mainly used as a starch modifier.

In the food industry used as starch modifier, juice turbidity prevention agent, meat bonding agent, dispersant and stabilizer (for ice cream, cheese, etc.). Can prevent food discoloration and prevent vitamin C breakdown. Also used as water softener.
