Ferric Carboxymaltose

Functions and indications:
1. This product is used for patients with iron deficiency anemia who cannot tolerate oral iron or are dissatisfied with the treatment effect of oral iron. 2. It is used for patients with chronic kidney disease who are not dependent on dialysis.

Usage and dosage:
The dosage and dosage of different dosage forms and specifications of this product may vary. Please read the specific drug instructions for use, or follow the doctor's advice. 1. The dosage is calculated based on the iron element, and each 1 ml contains 50 mg of iron. Before use, check whether the injection of this product has particles or discoloration. This product does not contain preservatives and is only for one-time use. The remaining medicine must be discarded. Avoid injection outside the blood vessel. Injection outside the blood vessel can make the injection site brown for a long time. 2. For those weighing more than 50kg, 2 doses can be injected, with an interval of at least 7d. 750mg at a time, the total dose shall not exceed 1500mg. For those weighing less than 50kg, 15mg/kg, the total iron dose for each course of treatment shall not exceed 1500mg, and repeated injections can be performed if iron deficiency anemia recurs. 3. This product can be slowly injected intravenously without dilution, or it can be diluted and then dripped intravenously. The speed of intravenous injection is about 100mg (2ml)/min; when dripping intravenously, 750mg should be diluted into no more than 250ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection, so that the concentration of the diluted drug solution is not less than 2mg/ml, the drip time is more than 15min, and the diluent can be stable for 72h at a concentration of 2-4mg/ml. To maintain the stability of the diluent, the concentration of the diluent must not be less than 2mg/ml.

Adverse reactions:

1. Adverse reactions with an incidence of ≥1% in clinical trials include nausea, hypertension, flushing, decreased blood phosphorus, dizziness, vomiting, discoloration at the injection site, headache, increased transaminase, abnormal taste, hypotension and constipation.
