Thymosin α1 ：is a highly conserved acid polypeptide structure, mainly distributed in thymus tissue, especially in thymus epithelial cells, but also in lymphoid tissue (such as spleen, lymph nodes) and non-lymphoid tissue (such as lung, kidney and brain), and its secretion and release are not regulated by other hormones or releasing factors.
Thymosin alpha1 is an immunomodulatory compound that enhances the immune response to Thl. Thymosin α1 has immunomodulatory effect on immunodeficient patients, which makes thymosin α1 widely used in clinic.
Bioactive Thymalfasin(thymosin-alpha1) is an immunomodulatory compound that enhances the immune response to Thl.
In vivo experiments have shown that thymosin alpha1 can increase the expression of interleukin-2 receptor and the secretion level of interleukin-2 in mouse lymphocytes after canavalin A activation.
