Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) – High Purity Grade

    Description:
Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), also known as cellulose gum, is a water-soluble polymer derived from natural cellulose. It is widely used as a thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, and film-forming agent in a broad range of industries including food, pharmaceuticals, personal care, paper, detergents, textiles, and oil drilling.

Our premium-grade CMC offers excellent viscosity control, high purity, and superior performance in both liquid and solid systems. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and compatible with most other ingredients and formulations.

    Key Features:

    • Appearance: White to off-white powder

    • Solubility: Completely soluble in cold or hot water

    • Purity: ≥ 99%

    • Viscosity (1% solution at 25°C): 300–6000 cps (varies by grade)

    • pH (1% solution): 6.0–8.5

    • Degree of Substitution (DS): 0.7–1.2

    Applications:

    • Food Industry: Used as a thickener and stabilizer in sauces, ice cream, dairy, and beverages

    • Pharmaceuticals: Acts as a binder in tablets, suspending agent in syrups

    • Cosmetics: Provides smooth texture in lotions, creams, and gels
