Dithiocyanomethane is a highly efficient and broad-spectrum bactericidal algicidal agent. It has a high-efficiency killing effect on the main bacteria, fungi and algae present in circulating water, and the efficacy is maintained for a long time. For best results, maintain a mass concentration of 0.3mg/L of dithiocyanomethane to effectively kill microorganisms. It is a non-oxidizing bactericide, and its bactericidal and antibacterial effects are related to the pH value of water. In the pH range of 6 to 7, it has a good stable bactericidal effect. But when the pH is higher than 8.5, it is easy to decompose and affect the bactericidal effect. Since dithiocyanomethane is insoluble in water and cannot be used directly, it generally needs to be combined with solvents, dispersants or other bactericides.

It is used to manufacture rubber products such as cables, wires, and tires. The fungicide 2, thiocyanomethyl sulfide is a highly efficient and broad-spectrum bactericide and algaecide.
