      Product Application

    (1) Industrial solvent: Used for extracting and separating aromatic hydrocarbons and other substances, and also as a solvent for inks, dyes, etc.

    (2) Dehydrating agent: Due to its strong hygroscopicity, it is often used for gas dehydration, such as removing moisture from natural gas.

    (3) Plasticizer: Added in the processing of plastics and rubber, it can enhance the flexibility and plasticity of products.

    (4) Gas chromatography-related: Used as a stationary liquid in gas chromatography for the separation and analysis of organic compounds.

    (5) Other uses: It can also be used in the preparation of ester compounds, or as an auxiliary ingredient in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other fields.

      Product Function

    (1) Dissolving function: As a solvent, it can dissolve various organic and inorganic substances, facilitating processes such as extraction and mixing of substances.

    (2) Water absorption and dehydration function: With strong hygroscopicity, it can absorb and remove moisture from gases and materials, playing a drying role.

    (3) Plasticizing function: When added to materials such as plastics and rubber, it can improve their flexibility and processability.

    (4) Separation and analysis function: As a stationary liquid in gas chromatography, it can assist in the separation and detection of organic compounds.

    (5) Auxiliary synthesis function: In chemical synthesis, it can participate in reactions to generate compounds such as esters, or act as a reaction medium to promote reactions.

TRIETHYLENE GLYCOL is a ether-alcohol derivative. The ether being relatively unreactive. Flammable and/or toxic gases are generated by the combination of alcohols with alkali metals, nitrides, and strong reducing agents. They react with oxoacids and carboxylic acids to form esters plus water. Oxidizing agents convert alcohols to aldehydes or ketones. Alcohols exhibit both weak acid and weak base behavior. They may initiate the polymerization of isocyanates and epoxides. Reacts with strong oxidants. [Handling Chemicals Safely 1980. p. 932].
