Naphthenic Acid (Petroleum Acid, CAS:1338-24-5,EINECS:215-662-8, HS Code:2916209090, general formula CₙH₂ₙ₋₁COOH, MW:180-350) is a complex mixture of cyclopentane and cyclohexane carboxylic acids extracted and refined from petroleum distillates. Our industrial grade naphthenic acid is available in two standard acid value specifications: 180-200 mgKOH/g and 200-220 mgKOH/g, with strictly controlled moisture and heavy metal impurities. It appears as a dark brown to light yellow oily liquid with characteristic petroleum odor, exhibiting weak acidity, excellent organic solubility and strong chelating ability with metal ions. As a versatile petroleum-derived chemical, it is the primary raw material for manufacturing various metal naphthenates, which are widely used as paint driers, oilfield additives and corrosion inhibitors across multiple industries.

Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging: 200kg UN certified steel drums; 1000kg IBC tanks and ISO tank containers available for bulk orders. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight, heat sources, open flames and strong oxidizing agents. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent leakage and moisture absorption. Isolate from food and feed products. Shelf life is 12 months under proper storage conditions.
