    Triethylene Glycol (CAS:112‑27‑6, molecular formula) is a high‑purity diol‑series organic compound synthesized from ethylene oxide raw material via ring‑opening addition reaction and multi‑stage distillation refining. It appears as colorless transparent viscous liquid, nearly odorless with slight sweet taste, featuring excellent water‑solubility, good compatibility with alcohols, ketones and many organic solvents, low volatility and strong moisture‑absorbing performance. Compared with mono‑ethylene glycol and di‑ethylene glycol, triethylene glycol owns higher boiling point, lower volatility and better thermal stability, not easy to volatilize under medium‑high temperature working conditions.
