Silica gel is a high‑activity porous inorganic adsorbent, amorphous material manufactured by acidification of sodium silicate, followed by gelling, water washing and thermal activation. ‑ Appearance: Colorless translucent / milky‑white spherical, lumpy granules or powder. Available in non‑indicating white silica gel, blue indicating silica gel, cobalt‑free orange indicating silica gel. ‑ Properties: Chemically stable, odor‑free and non‑toxic. Insoluble in water and most organic solvents; soluble only in hydrofluoric acid and strong concentrated alkali. Excellent thermal stability. Rich microporous structure with large specific surface area and strong adsorption capacity. 1. Desiccant (Major Application) Moisture‑proof packaging for electronics, pharmaceuticals, food, leather goods and precision instruments for export shipments. Dehumidification for containers, warehouses and equipment. Blue / orange indicating silica gel provides visual saturation warning.
2. Chromatography Media Stationary phase for column chromatography and thin‑layer chromatography. Widely used for separation & purification of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals and natural products, laboratory analytical applications.
3. Industrial Gas & Liquid Purification Compressed‑air drying, natural gas dehydration; acid & impurity removal for transformer insulating oil; dehydration & purification of organic solvents; vapor recovery.

Packing & Storage
