        N-Chlorosuccinimide (NCS) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₄H₄ClNO₂ and molecular weight of 133.53 g/mol. This white to off-white crystalline solid is one of the most widely used chlorinating reagents in organic synthesis.         Synthetic Process
        
        Chlorination: Succinimide is chlorinated using chlorine gas or other chlorinating agents in an aqueous or alkaline medium
