1. Physical Properties
A colorless, transparent liquid that is insoluble in water but soluble in ethanol, diethyl ether, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, acetone, and most other
organic solvents.

2. Chemical Properties
(1) Overall Stability: Chemically inert at room temperature and standard pressure; does not react with acids, bases, or common oxidizing agents; exhibits good storage stability.
(2) Key Reaction Types:
A. Undergoes complete combustion to form carbon dioxide and water, releasing a large amount of heat;
B. Under light or high-temperature conditions, it undergoes radical substitution reactions with halogens to form halogenated cyclopentanes;
C. At 200–300°C in the presence of platinum, palladium, or nickel catalysts, it undergoes ring-opening hydrogenation to form n-pentane;
D. At high temperatures of 400–500 °C, it undergoes thermal cracking, decomposing into small-molecule alkanes and alkenes.
3. Main Uses
(1) Core Application: As an environmentally friendly physical blowing agent, it replaces Freon in the production of rigid PU foam for insulation layers in refrigerators, freezers, and cold storage facilities; after foaming, its thermal insulation efficiency is approximately 20% higher than that of traditional materials.
(2) Industrial Solvent: Used as a solvent for solution polymerization of polyisoprene rubber and cellulose ethers; it can also serve as an environmentally friendly component in refrigerant formulations.
(3) Other Applications: Used in laboratories as a standard substance for chromatographic analysis; it is also a basic chemical raw material for the synthesis of certain rubber, resin, and polymer materials.

Grades and Specifications: Industrial grade (≥99.0%); custom specifications available.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
