Description

Potassium sulphate (SOP) 0-0-50 supplies 50% potassium (as K2O) together with sulphur, and contains no chloride. That makes it the potassium source of choice for crops that are sensitive to chloride.

Uses

- Chloride-sensitive crops: potatoes, tobacco, grapes, citrus, berries and many vegetables

- Fruit fill, size, firmness and quality

- Sulphur supply alongside potassium

- A base ingredient for chloride-free blends

Why SOP rather than MOP

Muriate of potash (MOP) is cheaper per unit of potassium but carries chloride, which reduces yield and quality in sensitive crops and raises salinity. SOP delivers the potassium without the chloride.
