Guanidine carbonate Use and Manufacturing
Melt reaction of dicyandiamide and ammonium salt at 170-230°C to form guanidine salt (guanidine hydrochloride, guanidine nitrate). The guanidine salt is then made into an alcohol solution, neutralized by adding an alkali to free the guanidine, and carbon dioxide is absorbed to react to obtain guanidine carbonate.
This product is an organic synthetic raw material and analytical reagent. It is used as an amino resin pH adjuster, antioxidant, resin stabilizer, guanidine soap, etc. It is also used as an additive for cement grouts and surfactants. In the aspect of synthetic detergents, it uses moisture-resistant agents and synergists. It is used as precipitation agent in the determination of zinc, cadmium and manganese, and also used for the separation of magnesium in alkali metals.
