3-Bromo-2-methoxy-propene Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Firstly, bromoacetone, trimethyl orthoformate, methanol and a little concentrated sulfuric acid are mixed to react to obtain 1-bromo-2, 2-dimethoxypropane, and then it is combined with diisopropylethylamine-p-toluenesulfonate The mixture is heated, the methanol is evaporated and the 134-137°C fraction is collected to obtain 2-methoxyallyl bromide.

Uses

Used in organic synthesis.
