Description

Thifluzamide is a powerful and effective fungicide. When used safely and correctly it can be effective on rice and other crops because of improved water dispersal techniques. Thifluzamide is highly active against Basidiomycete fungi, in particular Rhizoctonia solani, primarily in rice, potatoes, and turf markets.


Thifluzamide is an aromatic amide obtained by formal condensation of the carboxy group of 2-methyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)thiazole-5-carboxylic acid with the amino group of 2,6-dibromo-4-(trifluoromethoxy)aniline. Used to control Rhizoctonia spp. diseases on rice, potatoes, maize, grass and other crops. It has a role as an EC 1.3.5.1 [succinate dehydrogenase (quinone)] inhibitor and an antifungal agrochemical. It is an aromatic amide, an aromatic ether, an organofluorine compound, a member of 1,3-thiazoles, a dibromobenzene and an anilide fungicide.

Thifluzamide Use and Manufacturing

It belongs to thiazole amide fungicide and has strong systemic conductivity and long-lasting effect. Thiafuramide is an inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase. Due to its fluorine content, it is very competitive in the biochemical process, and it is not easy to recover once it is combined with a substrate or enzyme. Thiafuramide is active against pathogenic fungi such as Rhizoctonia spp., Puccinia spp., Sphaerotheca spp., Sphaerotheca spp., Fusarium spp., and Sclerotium spp., especially those caused by Basidiomycetes Diseases such as sheath blight and stand blight have special effects.
