Description

Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites.Target: AntiparasiticFenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites including: giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the taenia species of tapeworms(It is effective against the Taenia species of tapeworm but not against the common tapeworm, Dipylidium caninum.), pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles and strongyloide

Solid

Fenbendazole is a member of the class of benzimidazoles that is 1H-benzimidazole which is substituted at positons 2 and 5 by (methoxycarbonyl)amino and phenylsulfanediyl groups, respectively. A broad-spectrum anthelmintic, it is used, particularly in veterinary medicine, for the treatment of nematodal infections. It has a role as an antinematodal drug. It is a member of benzimidazoles, a carbamate ester and an aryl sulfide.|Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole that presents a wide spectrum anthelmintic effect. It is used against a number of gastrointestinal parasites including giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the Taenia genus of tapeworms, pinworms, aelurostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles, and Strongyloides. Fenbendazole is approved to be administered under veterinary to sheep, cattle, horses, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits and seals.|Antinematodal benzimidazole used in veterinary medicine.

Fenbendazole

Fenbendazole Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

By the reaction of 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline and benzenethiol, 5-phenylthio-2-nitroaniline is prepared with a yield of 91%. After reduction by ferrous sulfate-iron powder, 3-phenylthio-o-phenylenediamine is obtained with a yield of 90%. Finally, it is cyclized with S-methyl-cyanocarbamic acid methyl ester to obtain thiobendazole.

Uses

An anthelmintic (Nematodes).Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic, which not only has a high anthelmintic activity against gastrointestinal nematodes, adults and larvae, but also has a good effect on net tail nematodes, laminaria and tapeworms, and has a strong killing effect. Insect eggs.
