Using C.I. Direct Yellow 59 (C.I.49000) (see remarks) as raw material, the product is obtained by co-heating its aqueous solution with sodium hypochlorite. After salting out, filtering, drying and crushing, the finished product is obtained.
Direct light fast yellow 5R can be used for dyeing cotton and viscose fiber, and can also be directly printed and color drawn, but not white. The dyed cotton and viscose fibers are reddish yellow, slightly dull, and have poor migration properties. Usually it is mixed with red, brown and other dyes to adjust the color light, but it is not suitable to fight with blue, green and gray. It can be used to dye polyester-viscose blended fabric in the same bath with disperse dye at high temperature.
