Regulation on Printing and Dyeing Industry Released

Regulation on printing and dyeing industry was released to promote structural adjustment and transformation, regulate operation and investment, prompt energy saving and clean production, lead the industry to technology intensive, energy saving and environment friendly development.

The construction location of printing and dyeing mills should meet the standards of national industry plan and policy. Environmental risks should be strictly controlled along the coast of seven major rivers.

New printing and dyeing projects are banned to construct in scenic spots, natural reserves, drinking water protection areas and coast of major rivers. Operating mills should withdraw through shutdown, relocating and production transferring if necessary.

New printing and dyeing projects are banned in places lack of water or with low water quality.
