SIRIUS YELLOW GC Use and Manufacturing
Take m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid, o-anisidine, p-nitroaniline, salicylic acid (o-hydroxybenzoic acid) and phosgene as raw materials, firstly treat o-anisidine with formaldehyde and sodium bisulfite to obtain o-methyl Sodium oxyanilino methanesulfonate, then diazotizing m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid and coupling with it, hydrolyzing intermediate A. After diazotizing p-nitroaniline and coupling with salicylic acid, the nitro group is reduced to obtain intermediate B. Mix equal molecules A and B with phosgene to obtain the product. The finished product is obtained by salting out, filtering, drying and crushing.
Direct light yellow GC is suitable for the dyeing of cotton, viscose fiber, nylon, polyester/viscose blended fabrics, and also for the direct printing of cotton, viscose fiber, and silk fabrics. The dyed cotton and viscose fibers are bright yellow, with good level dyeing and migration properties, and have a certain hiding power for uneven quality viscose filaments. When used in the same bath dyeing of cotton or viscose fiber and other fibers, silk, nylon and wool are similar in color to cotton and viscose fiber, diacetate fiber is slightly stained, polyester, acrylic and triacetate fiber are not stained. Also used for leather and paper coloring.
Direct yellow 44 (CAS# 8005-52-5) is a water-soluble organic azo dye and water pollutant.
