4-Hydrazinobenzenesulfonic acid Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Take sodium p-aminobenzenesulfonate as raw material, mix with water and 30% hydrochloric acid, and cool to 2℃. Then, sodium nitrite solution was added dropwise at 0-5°C to diazotize sodium p-aminobenzenesulfonate. The above diazonium liquid is added to the mixed solution of sodium hydroxide solution and sodium bisulfite, the feeding temperature is controlled at 80-85°C, and the pH value is maintained at 6.2-6.7. After adding, continue to stir for 1.5h, then add zinc powder, diatomaceous earth, stirring and filtering. This reaction product is treated with acid to obtain phenylhydrazine-4-sulfonic acid.

Uses

Hemihydrate of 4-Hydrazinobenzenesulfonic Acid is used in analytical experiments to determine trace components of mixtures. Also used in the synthesis of inhibitors of coxsackievirus B3 replication. Tartrazine (T007700) analog.
