31.9 mg (0.15 mmol) of General procedure: A 0.06 M solution of the respective hydroxylamine (0.10-0.08 mmol)in anhyd CH2Cl2 was treated with IBX (1.5 equiv) at r.t. for 2 h. Thedisappearance of the starting material was always assessed by a TLCcontrol. The reaction mixture was subsequently washed several timeswith sat. aq NaHCO3 and the crude nitrones were purified by flashcolumn chromatography, only when necessary.
