Acetohydrazide Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The preparation method is to use ethyl acetate and hydrazine hydrate in the presence of Al2O3 to obtain acetylhydrazine. Reaction equation: CH3COOC2H5+NH2NH2·H2O→CH3CONHNH2+C2H5OH

Uses

Acetohydrazide is a metabolite of Isoniazid (I821450) an antibiotic for treatment of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, inhibits mycolic acid biosynthesis.
