Metatitanic acid Use and Manufacturing
The sulfuric acid method ilmenite reacts with sulfuric acid to generate titanyl sulfate. After purification, freezing to remove ferrous sulfate, press filtering, and concentration, the titanyl sulfate is hydrolyzed, washed, filtered, and dried to obtain metatitanic acid. Used as a mordant, catalyst and seawater adsorbent Used to prepare pure titanium sulfate. It can also be used as a matting agent, a catalyst for chemical fibers and an adsorbent for uranium in seawater.
