It was the original Eighth Route Army pharmaceutical factory that had made significant contributions to the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was restored as Yan'an Pharmaceutical Factory. In 1998, it was restructured into Yan'an Changtai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.; in order to inherit the glory Tradition, carrying forward the revolutionary spirit of Yan'an, and establishing a brand-new image as a traditional Chinese medicine company in northern Shaanxi. In 2016, it was renamed as Yan'an Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.. Yan'an Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive modern Chinese medicine high-tech enterprise in northern Shaanxi that integrates the production, supply, marketing and export of medicinal materials, Chinese patent medicines, and Chinese medicine decoction pieces. The company occupies an area of 262 acres and has 536 employees. It mainly produces 60 varieties of 10 dosage forms, including Chinese medicine, Chinese patent medicine, and Chinese medicine decoction pieces. In recent years, party and state leaders such as Xi Jinping, Hu Jintao, Sang Guowei, Simayi Tielivaldi and other party and state leaders have come to Yan’an Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to inspect their work, The practice of producing medicines by grass and driving local farmers' income has been fully affirmed and highly appraised.
