There is also a kind of skin care products that are pure oil, which contains no water at all, and microorganisms cannot grow. These products also do not require preservatives, such as jojoba oil, which is common to everyone.

There is also a part of the raw materials with antiseptic function, but these raw materials are not yet in the national list of preservatives (the country has 51 kinds of preservatives), such as octanoyl hydroxamic acid, 1,2-hexanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, p-hydroxyacetophenone, etc.

The vast majority of preservative-free skin care products on the market now belong to this category. This type of raw material has many functions, which can be both antiseptic and antioxidant. Because there is no clear statement, so many cosmetics that promote "no antiseptic" appear.

Such preservatives are currently considered to be relatively safe and are being used more and more, but due to their relatively short duration of use, whether they are potentially harmful to the skin remains to be verified.
