The 2nd COVID-19 study of Redcive in China was terminated

On April 15, seekingα reported that the clinical study of remdesivir in China on patients with light and common COVID-19 was also terminated due to the low enrollment rate. Gilead therefore fell 3% before the market.

 

Earlier, the clinical trial of redoxivir for severe COVID-19 patients had been terminated due to the low enrollment rate.


Royal Bank of Canada Brian Abrahams said that the study had previously recruited some patients (n = 237), so the final results are not yet known.

 

The two COVID-19 studies of Redoxivir in China were launched in early February. They were aimed at light and normal patients (NCT04252664) and heavy patients (NCT04257656).

 

On April 10, Gilead published the sympathetic medication results of reduxilvir for the treatment of 53 severe COVID-19 patients, which showed that 36 patients (68%) had improved oxygen support grades; Of the patients, 17 (57%) had their endotracheal tubes removed. A total of 25 patients (47%) were discharged and 7 patients (13%) died; among them, the mortality rate of patients receiving invasive ventilation was 18% (6 deaths among 34 patients), while the patients who did not receive invasive ventilation The mortality rate was 5% (1 death out of 19 patients).
