Jin Shi burst suddenly! Repeated accidents
The epidemic situation has not completely ended; the market situation has not been fully recovered; the accident has not been completely contained.
Since resumption of work, accidents have occurred intermittently. Either the factory exploded, the device burst, or the warehouse caught fire. Every time I see this kind of title, the chemical man will frown and his heart will tighten.
A boom late at night, not an earthquake but a burst!
Today, the official website of the Shijiazhuang Recycling Chemical Park in Hebei reported that late at night on May 8th, Jinmei Jinshi Shijiazhuang Recycling Chemical Park branch of the park had a burst of methanol recovery device in the synthesis workshop! In addition, the company had violated the law in 2017 and 2019 The problem was investigated and dealt with by the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection.
Jinmei Jinshi Shijiazhuang Recycling Chemical Park Branch is the core enterprise of Jinmei Jinshi Chemical Investment Group, with a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan. It mainly builds a large-scale coal gasification project with a total ammonia capacity of 600,000 tons, providing hydrogen, nitrogen, liquid ammonia, methanol, Sulfur, tar, medium oil and other products.
According to current official sources, no casualties have been caused by the accident and no leakage of toxic combustible gas has occurred. Although no casualties and pollution were caused, this accident once again sounded the alarm for the safety of resumption of work!
Accidents happen! The strongest explosion withdrew 54,000 people overnight!
Large-scale chemical accidents are not one-and-a-half times. On May 7, an accident occurred at the LG plant in India. More than 5,000 people are expected to be poisoned and the injuries are permanent. It can be seen that, whether for the enterprise itself or for individuals, accidents in large enterprises are often more destructive.
On May 7th, a fire broke out in the abandoned factory area of Weifang Baili Chemical Co., Ltd., which had been discontinued in October 2019. The thick smoke on the scene was also accompanied by a strong pungent chemical odor. It is understood that the cause of the accident was the demolition of the chimneys of the abandoned chemical plant in Baili. During the construction of the chimneys that had been removed, the construction unit ignited the glass fiber reinforced plastic insulation tile. The accident caused no casualties. At present, the demolition work has been completely stopped, and self-inspection and rectification have been carried out.
And another chemical plant in the United States exploded, not so lucky. On May 4, an explosion occurred at a chemical plant in Texas, USA. Mushroom clouds rose at the explosion site, and three employees were injured in the accident. At the same time, the leakage of chemicals caused by the accident caused the local 54,000 residents to be forced to evacuate overnight! The local residents not only have to face the natural disaster of Xinguan, but also experience the evacuation of this man-made disaster.
The above accidents indeed show that chemical industry is a "dangerous" industry, but we as chemical workers should not let this industry be defined as "dangerous". The above-mentioned wrecked chemical companies are large and small, and there are foreign countries at home. It is not necessary for large chemical companies to have 0 accidents. It is not that foreign chemical companies are safer. These accidents are only instructions: no good safety work, no matter how good The factory is also nothing.
