Mitsubishi Chemical will acquire a U.S. silicon material company
Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, has acquired the American chemical and materials group Gelest from Johor Bahru Capital through its US subsidiary. The transaction is expected to be completed in 2020, subject to review and approval of customary regulations.
Gelest is headquartered in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, USA. Founded in 1991, Gelest is a company that produces and supplies silicones, organosilanes, organometallic materials and high-tech applications for medical technology and life sciences, microelectronics and personal care.
