Korea Representative Material·Component·Equipment Exhibition, ‘Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea’ is held.

South Korea representative Material Component Equipment exhibition ‘Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea’ hosted by Messe Esang and Incheon Tourism Organization is held from August 5^th to 7^th in Songdo Convensia, Incheon.

Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry(UFI), the leading global organization with the highest authority in the world’s exhibition industry, is the national represented chemical industry expert exhibition concurrently held with ‘International Coating, Adhesive and Film Industry Expo’, ‘International High-Tech Surface & Painting Expo’, and ‘International Chemical & Bio Industrial Equipment Expo’. Approximately, 300 related industries are attending the event to introduce cutting-edge technology and products.

The exhibition holding every March at Songdo Convensia since 2010 is delayed until August due to COVID-19.

The executive official stated thatthe decision on delay is for active participation of buyers from main foreign organizations and attending companies and guests.

Also, knowing that for the first half-year, many chemical manufacturing industries are facing difficulties that the office added various events and benefits for companies to encourage the exhibition to be a revitalization opportunity.

Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea is a specialized exhibition with product and technology submission of the key industries for semiconductor, aerospace, automobiles, information communication, and chemistry-related business.

The government organized 2.1 trillion won for the budget for the independence of the main material, component, and equipment. From April, 1^st, the exceptions for component and equipment industry were enforced and the support for technology development, foundation construction, and funds are being extended.

The exhibition staff noted that unprecedented support for the related business will be activated and Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea will be the best business event for strengthening the competitiveness of the industries.

◎ Programs for exploring the new market

The executive office is providing for various programs: KOTRA overseas buyer exportation, technology seminar for attending industries, on and offline marketing support to maximize the outcomes of the attending companies.

 ‘KOTRA overseas buyer exportation advising session’ provides the foundation for oversea expansion of the attending companies by inviting about 30 buyers in the chemistry, bio and pharmaceutical industries from 85 countries and 125 KOTRA overseas trading including Europe, America, CIS, Asia, and Middle east.

If the overseas COVID-19 situation is not alleviated by the date, the executive office is considering opening the video session.  

During the exhibition period, the technology seminar is provided to any attending industries.

The majority of small businesses face difficulties in marketing when launching new products and technology.

Chemical Manufacturing Expo Korea provides the opportunity of contract and investigation consulting by giving them the change to present their own products and technology.

Not only the exhibition is held, but the conference to share various ideas in the industry is also going to hold.

The Corrosion Science Society of Korea is holding a symposium of understanding of corrasion coating business and reliability assessment.

Industries and expertise are gathering together to discuss the topics: Global eco-friendly water-soluble Zinc Flake coating development and application case. The cause and type of corrosion on coating material. High technology equipment for coating analysis cases. The effect of faulty preprocessing plating layer on faulty sealing. Assessment technique to secure rust inhibitor.

The officials from the industries and government provides the policy trend of the chemical control system of Korea (Act on Registration, Evaluation, etc. of Chemicals, Chemical control law, Chemical Product Safety Act) at Chemical Manufacturing Industry Safety Seminar.
