Lanson Releases High Performance Materials for Electric Vehicles

On October 31, Lanson released the fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite Tepex dynalite. This lightweight material is about 30% lighter than the steel structure design and can be used in hybrid electric vehicles, electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.

 

Deniz Guerkan, a technical marketing and sales expert of Lucent Tepex, said that this efficient and mechanically stable lightweight material of the underbody assembly has been successfully applied to the ideal L9 model and the new ideal L8 model. Guerkan said: "The car floor assembly is about 30% lighter than similar steel structure design. Compared with other materials, Tepex reinforced materials make the car floor assembly more solid, harder and more energy absorbing."

 

Lanson said that Tepex composite components will help increase the energy efficiency and range of cars. This is because the battery of electric vehicles is usually installed on the car floor, and the components produced by Tepex can protect the battery from stone impact or other damage. The lightweight Tepex underbody assembly can also be used in hydrogen powered vehicles to protect fuel tanks and fuel cells.
