Shell's net profit exceeded 6.7 billion US dollars
Recently, the statistics released by British oil giant Shell showed that in the third quarter, the company achieved a net profit of 6.743 billion US dollars, turning into profit from a loss of 447 million US dollars in the same period last year. The company said that the profit was mainly due to the increase of deep-sea high-quality oil production in upstream sectors such as exploration and mining.
In the third quarter, Shell's operating income was USD 95.749 billion, up 59% year on year; The net profit after deducting inventory evaluation and other factors was 9.454 billion US dollars, up 1.3 times year on year. According to business statistics, the net profit of the gas department after deducting inventory evaluation and other factors was 2.319 billion US dollars, up 26.2% year on year; Upstream departments such as exploration and mining increased by 2.4 times on a year-on-year basis; The chemical products sector grew 62.5% year on year. On the other hand, the marketing departments such as electric vehicle charging service and lubricating oil decreased by 25.4% year on year, while the renewable energy solutions department was $383 million, turning into profit from a loss of $171 million in the same period last year. The net loss of the enterprise operation department was $571 million, narrowing from the loss of $732 million in the previous year.
