EU evaluates the safety of a phospholipase A1
On May 20, the EU Food Safety Agency released the results of the evaluation of the safety of a phospholipase A1 (phospholipase A1).
It is understood that this food enzyme is produced by Novozymes A / S Company using the transgenic Aspergillus niger (Aspergillus niger) strain NZYM-FP. This food enzyme is intended for degumming fats and oils. After evaluation, the panel of experts concluded that this food enzyme would not cause safety problems under the expected conditions of use.
