Brenntag takes over Axiom plant protein distribution in North America
Brenntag Food & Nutrition announced that it has reached a new partnership with Axiom Foods, an American food ingredient company that uses brown rice protein as its flagship product, to distribute a variety of plant proteins for the latter in the United States and Canada.
The ingredients involved in this collaboration include industrial hemp, pea, pumpkin, rice, and vine fruit protein, oatmeal and rice flour instead of dairy products, and Axiom ’s new texture recombinant pea protein.
According to reports, these ingredients can be used as sports nutrition, beverages, meat substitutes, mixed fillings, and vegetable protein in plant-based dairy substitutes. Some of the benefits include increased juice, increased protein content, reduced costs, smooth mouthfeel, and access to clean and non-allergenic food labels.
