Brenntag expands Duisburg Innovation and Application Center

Chemicals and ingredients distributor Brenntag has doubled the laboratory space at its Innovation and Application Center in Duisburg. This enables the company to meet the growing demand for specialized solutions in architectural coatings, industrial coatings, adhesives and construction applications. According to the company, the expansion will allow Brenntag and its customers to benefit from increased technical capabilities in material testing and product formulation.

The newly expanded center now offers state-of-the-art material testing technologies, including radiation and thermal curing, which enable precise formulation adjustments. In addition, the surface analysis equipment has been optimized, for example using digital microscopes and methods for determining the minimum film-forming temperature of water-based systems. The expansion will help to meet the needs of customers in the DACH market more effectively and develop tailor-made solutions.

Brenntag has doubled the laboratory space to cope with increasingly complex requirements and ensure that customers benefit from more advanced applications and testing methods. This includes the ability to quickly adjust formulations, for example using new bladeless impeller stirrers.
