According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), on November 23, 2022, the US FDA issued a recall notice saying that Weis Markets is recalling an ice cream because the product contains an undeclared allergen ( Soy and coconut). The recalled products are shown below:

The recalled product is named Weis Quality Sea Salt Caramel Ripple Ice Cream, weighs 48 ounces, has a manufacturing date of November 8, 2022, a sale date of November 8, 2023, and a UPC number of 041497-01288. Products may already be available in 197 Weis Markets stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and West Virginia.

There have been no reports of disease from the consumption of these products. The U.S. FDA advises consumers with soy and coconut allergies not to consume these products and can return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
