Anti-anxiety and depression! Phamractive pushes saffron extract
Spanish natural product and raw material supplier Pharmactive Biotech Products pointed out that adolescents are at a sensitive stage of physical and psychological growth and development, and the COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated this instability. Pharmactive claims that its pure natural saffron extract affron® can be used to improve the mental health of teenagers and consumers of other ages.
Allegedly, affron® is the first saffron extract used to relieve anxiety and depression in teenagers through clinical research. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of adolescents (12-16 years old) with mild to moderate symptoms, taking affron® for eight weeks improved symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Phamractive said that its clinical research on adolescents shows that affron® is a safe solution that can help adolescents and even younger children cope with crisis events and adjust their mental health.
The dose used in the study was 28 mg per day. Pharmactive stated that this is the lowest dose threshold on the market because the company has adopted the AFF ON Cool-Tech patented extraction process, which uses a unique method to concentrate and retain the active ingredient, and the bioavailability is relatively high. high.
Alberto Espinel, Strategic Development Manager of Phamractive Active Ingredients and Functional Natural Ingredients, said: "affron® has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that not only help balance critical neurotransmitter levels (such as serotonin and dopamine), but also cope with anxiety And stress-induced oxidative stress."
