Taiwan slaughtered more than 25,000 ducks for H5N1 avian influenza

Taiwan's Central News Agency reported that poultry farms in Yunlin County, western Taiwan, slaughtered more than 25,000 ducks due to H5N1 bird flu.

 
"A duck farm in Shuilin Township, Yunlin County, western Taiwan, slaughtered 25,637 ducks due to H5N1 avian influenza," the report said. ”
 
Inspections are being carried out within a 5 km radius of the poultry farm.
 
Highly pathogenic avian influenza is a highly pathogenic avian influenza of the H5N1 subtype. It can infect not only people, but also many other animals.
