Brazil's corn exports are expected to reach 6.191 million tons in December 2022, down from last week's estimate of 6.58 million tons, according to the Brazilian Association of Grain Exporters (ANEC).
ANEC's figures are based on ship scheduling information, with actual exit speeds depending on factors such as weather.
If the forecast materialises, it would still be higher than November's 5.4 million tonnes and December's 3.321 million tonnes.
Brazil mainly exports corn in the second half of the year and competes with U.S. corn in the global market.
Brazil's corn exports for the whole of 2022 will reach 43.53 million tons, up from 20.615 million tons in 2021.
ANEC forecasts record Brazilian corn exports of 43.88 million tonnes in 2022, surpassing the previous high of just over 41 million tonnes in 2019.
